Multiple Injured, Two Arrested as Stabbing Spree Rock UK Train
(MENAFN) Two individuals have been taken into custody following a stabbing spree on a train, British Transport Police (BTP) reported on Saturday.
"We are currently responding to an incident on a train to Huntingdon where multiple people have been stabbed," BTP said on US social media company X.
Officers from BTP, alongside Cambridgeshire police, are on the scene managing the situation, the statement added.
Cambridgeshire police told the media that they were alerted at 7:39 pm GMT after receiving reports of multiple stabbings on a train.
“A number of people have been taken to hospital,” police confirmed.
London North Eastern Railway has informed passengers that service disruptions of up to an hour are possible as a result of the ongoing situation.
